I have owned one of the Miter Saw Laser Guides for about 10 years. Yes I replaced the battery. I gave the saw to my oldest Son and he is still using it. I purchased it at Home Depot in Pennsylvanis, moved it to Florida and he has it i9n Texas.

If you are are a DIY'er it is a great addition to your chop saw.
