These bits work very well, and we were ready to switch away from auger bits for boring bolt holes in decks. Problem is that they are shorter than the auger bits and will not work going through a 6x6. They measure 6" from the very tip of the end. After you loose an inch in the drill chuck you can only drill about a 5" deep hole. Not enough to get through a 6x6. Awsome product, works great, just needs to be an inch longer.
